The former home of legend Johnny Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash, is currently up for sale. Cash and Carter lived in the lakefront Hendersonville property for most of their 35 year marriage. It was built in 1967 and was featured in the movie “Walk the Line.” Before the home caught on fire in 2007, guests over the years included former President Ronald Reagan and Bob Dylan.
The property’s current owner, James Gresham, is selling the home due to health issues. However, according to a spokesperson, he wants the estate to be sold to someone who will preserve the Cash legacy.
The estate is set to go to auction on December 20th and has no listing price. The property was last appraised at 1.14 million dollars.
